50 Stories of Hope #43: Paige’s Story
STORY 43/50: I have had a desire to care for people since I was a little girl, so the nursing profession seemed like a natural fit when I was deciding what to study after high school. Since becoming a nurse, the Lord has given me multiple opportunities to carry out my calling, most recently with New Life Family Services as a Client Care Nurse.

I have known of New Life and loved their mission for years. I remember seeing multiple live ultrasounds in youth group and filling baby bottles with change when my church participated in Baby Bottle Drives during Sanctity of Human Life month. I remember always eagerly looking forward to the live ultrasounds – I absolutely loved them! Learning more about the work of New Life helped me see what living out the gospel looked like in the context of cherishing and supporting human life made in the image of God.

I believe the Lord was preparing my heart years ago in ways I could not see for the work He has called me to now. As a nurse at New Life, I have the privilege of introducing mothers to the life inside of them, often for the very first time. I also have the opportunity to meet with clients for STI testing and treatment and prenatal education. I love meeting people where they are in their stories and having the opportunity to meet tangible needs. I also love using ultrasound to show God’s most precious creation being intricately woven together inside of the womb! It is such an honor.
